Continuous Improvement Items:
- The hotel has installed automatic sensor control for outdoor decoration lights;
- The hotel has used water-saving shower heads in all guest rooms;
- The hotel has recycled 550 pieces moon cake container;
- The hotel has provided online booking service and encouraged the use of electronic means for external communications to reduce paper consumption;
- The hotel will collect chilled water from air-conditioning systems and reuse it in the chiller systems.
Some of the environmental measures accomplished:
- Installed at least 47% energy-saving type lighting facilities.
- Installed a building management system (BMS) to control on-off of lighting facilities and air-conditioning.
- Replaced conventional "Exit" signs with LED "Exit" signs.
- Used variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) drive for escalators.
- Replaced disposable wooden chopsticks by reusable chopsticks in restaurant.
- Installed soap dispenser in guest rooms for replacing plastic containers for soap and shampoo.
- Provided non-smoking floors.
- Provided landscape areas outside hotel.
- Established a green procurement policy and made it known to all suppliers.
- Worked with suppliers to identify environmentally friendly products, e.g. organic vegetables.
